One of the better places in Portage for a meal, have never been disappointed. Prices a little high for the quality. Great owner/management.

I had a fairly large table, most of the food was good. I would recommend no vegetable sides with the ribs, I didnt find them appealing. I found the pizza to be pretty good as well.

Sorry guys but pizza was poor. More cheese doesn't mean better pizza. Fresh mushrooms are a must ( as opposed to canned)

Just wanted to thank you for a great evening out. We celebrated New Years Eve with another couple by enjoying a scrumptious dinner at your restaurant. It was perfect, wonderful service, the best ribs and relaxing atmosphere to make the experience just right.

One of the best rib dinners I've had in a very long time! Everything on the plate was home cooked and delicious. Ribs were falling off the bone and delicately flavored with the sweet and tangy sauce. Lemon roasted potatoes were done with a glaze that blew me away with the first bite! Even the vegetables, which didn't look inspired, turned out to have a subtle spice infused through slow cooking, while still having a pleasant firmness to them. I highly recommend that you give this place a try on your next visit to Portage. Worth the time!

Ordered pizza the cheese seems like it's fake. Almost like mozza Kraft cheese slices. the mushrooms were canned and the pepperoni is dry and bland.. not impressed at the price point and will not be order ever again.

We stopped in here for lunch hesitantly. I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and a great ambiance it is for such a small place. The food was delicious. If you are in Portage, this is a must-try!

Went for supper here because quite a few locals recommended it. I was disappointed to say the least. The decor is outdated and made me feel like I should be at least in my late 50’s before I’ll ever eat there again. The waitress was cranky and took forever to come to our table and get our drink orders. The food was subpar. I had ordered steak rare, it was almost medium well, carrots tasted like they were just ladled out of some sort of soup and the fries weren’t seasoned. Very disappointing, I wouldn’t reccomend it to anyone nor will I be going back.

Not quite what it has been built up to be from what I've been told, but still, good food with a fair portion and friendly service.

This could easily be a higher mark from me. The knock down in rating is for the fries, which I found dry and unappealing. And that is not on the cooks, it's on the one who opted to use food service frozen fries. Everything on my plate was very well prepared, so I am sure to-order fries would fit in well, the cooks can handle it.The chicken fingers were competent if pretty standard. Cole slaw was very good, just enough out of the ordinary to be unique. Ribs were terrific, as was the chicken burger I took to go for my passenger. No complaints on the price, it's well worth eating here.

I found something floating in lemon chicken soup, I was 1 spoonful in - they took it away but refused to take it off my bill. Waitress sat and around talking about personal issues. I'm from the city, this type of service is frowned upon and normally corrected by management but I guess in Portage La Prairie it's accecptable.

Bill's is the best restaurant in Portage in my opinion. You can't go wrong. Pizza, gyros, pasta, cheese toast... I'm making myself hungry again.Last time I was there I had my usual Combination Plate. Little disappointed the pepperoni was all under the cheese. Other times at least a couple pieces are partially buried so they get charred and crispy... Mmmmmmmmm... Will have to remember to ask specifically for that next time.Cheese toast is fabulous! Well worth enjoying, even if it means taking done supper home. Though that's good the next day too.

Best pizza in the province. I try to get this every time i am home. I have yet to see a place who has as much toppings as bill's. I just wish they wouldn't have changed the dough. Service is a hit or miss though.

This place is a hidden gem the food is amazing . The vegetables were cooked to perfection. There were 5 of us and everyone had a different meal everyone raved at how good their dinners were.

Party of 8 and we got our own room in the back. Had two extra large pizzas which were amazing. Generous toppings and fresh homemade crust. Definitely recommend!
